If you're interested in booking a space in the Burgh Halls for your event please read through our Hire Policy carefully and fill in the enquiry form below with as much detail as possible.

Filling in the enquiry form will help us give you an estimated hire price based on the space you want to use, and the length of the event. See the spaces available for booking. For catered events, we require you use one of our partnered external caterers. You cannot provide your own catering, or use a non-partnered caterer.

We'll get in touch as soon as possible to confirm dates and details, and to take a deposit if appropriate. 

Event hire policy - please read

  • We do not allow the own provision of catering or caterer and require you to book any catering via one of our partnered providers.  Please see our list of providers here.

  • We do not accept any weekend recurring bookings (Saturday/Sunday). This includes weekly, fortnightly and monthly block bookings.

  • We do not accept bookings of parties or events for young people between the ages of 13 and 20 (inclusive).  This includes birthday parties, proms etc.

  • We do not allow indoor bouncy castles in our venue.

  • We cannot accept bookings for events which publicly promote or align with a political topic or controversy, particularly one which is identifiable as the view of one political party.

  • While we welcome initial inquiries over the phone, all quotes and booking confirmations will be provided via email. Please note that we do not discuss hire prices over the phone or in person.

  • By confirming a booking in writing, hirers agree to our Conditions of Hire.

  • As we are not an exclusive-use venue, you will only have access to the rooms specified on your booking for your event.
