Our stained glass

historic stained glass

Explore the famous stained glass panels made in 1878 by Adam & Small for the newly opened Maryhill Burgh Halls. It’s a series of 20 unique panels representing the trades and industries of Maryhill in the late 19th century.

modern stained glass

Modern Maryhill is very different to the Maryhill of 1878. Made by Alec Galloway and Margo Winning, these new stained glass windows were created to record what is important in the area today, and to give the restoration project a lasting legacy.

old parish church glass

Read about the 13 stained glass panels that were rescued from the now demolished Maryhill Old Parish Church. These windows were kept temporarily in Aberdeen before coming back to the area to finally be displayed in the Halls’ foyer.
