Maryhill museum

sharing and celebrating Maryhill's history

Maryhill Burgh Halls Trust is committed to collecting and making accessible the history of the Burgh Halls and the Maryhill area. The next years will be an extraordinary time, as we grow our excellent community engagement programme.

Although we currently have a temporary area for Maryhill Museum, our aim is to create a more permanent, purpose-built space. Maryhill Museum aims to deliver an exciting and challenging programme of temporary exhibitions.

The museum will continue to be a place to share our local history collection and offer opportunities for community displays. Through both of these we will advance local access to arts, heritage and culture and engage with the local and wider community to safeguard and celebrate our shared history.

Currently you can visit the museum and exhibitions on the ground floor. Our collection consists of objects connected to the history of Maryhill and its surrounding area. We are continually researching the history of the area and share our findings on our blog.

We’re open Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm. Evening and weekend openings are announced on Facebook.
